Did you come from a tiny town in quiet state? Well, it’s probably not as tiny as this one. According to the 2019 census, Port Tobacco has a population of… six. No, we’re not kidding. But the small population has some distinct advantages.
The cost of living is usually lower. So if you’re looking to rent an apartment or even buy a house, you’ll find that your dollar stretches further outside of the big cities. Of course, there are fewer job opportunities. But if you own your own business, work remotely, or commute, you can live very comfortably.
Small towns also have fewer choices for entertainment, but that can also be a pro. It helps families draw closer to each other and spend more time together.
